Very bad luck. Just when we planned to visit Lhasa, China closed its borders because of SARS. At this moment it is unclear when China will allow visitors again - we heard dates varying from June to August. However, with the monsoon arriving within a few weeks we can not stay in Nepal to wait for the Chinese border to open. Under the current situation we don't know if or when we will travel to Lhasa. |
